OOCL offers bi-weekly sailings for Far East - Europe services
The liner and other Grand Alliance members adjust their operations to comply with seasonal demand.
Grand Alliance members Hapag-Lloyd, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), have announced a Winter Program between Europe and Far East by adjusting capacity to the seasonal demand of their customers. In order to ensure continuation of the service network, Loop D will offer bi-weekly sailings. This temporary service adjustment was implemented effective westbound week 40 (Pusan 2nd October 2010) and is expected to last until March 2011.
The Grand Alliance continue to offer three services between North Europe and the Far East covering all major ports with weekly sailings, according to an OOCL report.
The Grand Alliance, formed in 1998, is one of the leading consortia in global container shipping. Its members are Hapag-Lloyd (Germany), NYK (Japan) and OOCL (Hong Kong).
