Secretary Gregory So bound for Phnom Penh, Singapore, Jakarta
It's partially for the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
According to a government release, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will visit Phnom Penh, Singapore, and Jakarta from tomorrow to November 2 to promote economic and trade relations and lobby support for Hong Kong's request to join the China - ASEAN Free Trade Area.
In Singapore, Mr So will officiate and speak at the Hong Kong Festival 2012 that the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore organised with its partners to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's establishment.
He will address a gala dinner on October 30 which will include a preview of performances from the Hong Kong Arts Festival 2013, and a business forum on October 31 on global and regional supply chains with a focus on Hong Kong and Singapore's complementary roles.
