HK, Macau Chief Executives meet to boost ties
The leaders of both cities shared ideas on developments for GBA.
The Chief Executives of Hong Kong and Macau met each other to discuss the ties between the two cities and developments for the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
During the meeting, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee and Macau Chief Executive Ho Iat-seng talked about the full resumption of normal travel between the two cities, which will deepen and promote multi-destination tourism.
They also discussed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which shortened the land transportation between Hong Kong, Macau, and the Pearl River’s west bank, fostering commercial, financial, and cultural exchanges between the three places.
According to Chief Executive Lee, the meeting further strengthened the co-operation between Hong Kong and Macau “with a view to generating stronger impetus for the high-quality development of the GBA and make greater contributions to national development.”
