
Gov’t greenlights 20 building plans in April
Of the plans approved, six are on Hong Kong Island.
The Buildings Department approved 20 building plans in April.
Of the plans approved, six are on Hong Kong Island, six are on Kowloon, and eight are in New Territories.
Twelve of the 20 were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, whilst the rest are for commercial developments (2), factory and industrial developments (3), and community services developments (3).
“Consent was given for works to start on 11 building projects which, when completed, will provide 66,918 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 2,326 units and 63,105 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use,” the Buildings Department said.
The department added that it received notification of the commencement of superstructure works for 10 building projects.
Meanwhile, the department also issued 18 occupation permits comprising seven on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon, and six in the New Territories.
“Buildings certified for occupation have 19,815 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 416 units and 7,198 sq m for non-domestic use,” the government said.
