514 students from nine local universities received the scholarship grants.
According to Hong Kong Information Services Department, the scholarship grants came from the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund.
In the third year of its operation, the fund awarded scholarships to 294 local and 220 non-local students taking publicly funded degree programmes for the 2010-2011 academic year.
