Foreign companies in Hong Kong more confident to attract talent
Only 34% of local companies believe in their ability to retain talent.
Randstad’s World of Work Report 2012/2013 reports that – in Hong Kong – foreign-owned companies are more confident (43%) than local companies (34%) in their ability to attract and retain talent in the future.
This can largely be attributed to best practice employer branding and attraction strategies embraced by many multinationals. 95% of employees say inspirational leadership is important to very important when considering a new employer.
The most successful organisations of the future will understand the unique challenges facing their workplaces over the next five years and focus on workforce planning that looks further ahead.
“Workforce planning is not purely a numbers game. It’s about ensuring your organisation is talent ready – knowing you have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time – for today, but also for the future.
This means truly understanding the skills an organisation will need to drive future competitiveness,” added Randstad Director Brien Keegan.
