
Civil service workers to enjoy pay rise for 2018-19
Employees in the upper band and directorate will enjoy 4.06% higher wages.
The Chief Executive-in-Council has decided to increase the salaries for civil servants, according to a government release.
Salaries of employees in the upper salary band and directorate will rise by 4.06%, whilst those in the middle and lower salary bands will witness 4.51% higher salaries.

The government is set to submit the pay adjustment proposal to the Legislative Council Finance Committee as soon as possible. The pay increase will kick into retrospective effect from April 1.
