Hong Kong deepens ties with Shanghai
Shanghai says the two cities are like family.
Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying made the comment during a meeting with CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Secretary Han Zheng in Shanghai. He was accompanied by Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung and Secretary for Development Paul Chan.
Han said the two cities can cooperate to a greater extent, noting Shanghai could learn from Hong Kong's economy and trade. Leung agreed and said he was happy to see Shanghai’s rapid development.
Leung will address the 2nd Annual Urban Land Institute Asia Pacific Summit opening ceremony today, and will visit the Bridge 8 creative industry park, YK Pao School and the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.
He will also meet Hong Kong residents studying and doing business in Shanghai.
