
CLP mulls over inviting tenders for headquarters revamp
Its HQ in Mongkok will be redeveloped into three 25-storey towers.
According to Nomura, CLP is planning to invite tenders for joint venture partners to help redevelop its headquarters in Mongkok.

Reportedly, CLP has already moved out of its headquarters in May this year. After two years of negotiations, CLP has obtained approval to redevelop its headquarters into three 25-storey towers, while preserving and opening up the original clock tower for public use.
Of the site’s 340,675sf GFA, residential makes up 309,707sf with the remaining areas marked for a museum. Reportedly, CLP intends to retain some of the floor area as its profit sharing in kind. Surveyors estimate the project should fetch HKD3-3.7bn.
